RBC is pleased to announce a new project in China.
The project comprises a six storey, steel barge that is to be converted into a floating hotel called a ‘coastel’. It is intended to be used to accommodate personnel for projects that are commissioned to remote locations areas such as Africa and the Middle East
The ‘Coastel’ will be permanently moored and connected to services, if available but the unit will have the necessary onboard facilities for sustainability.
Restaurants, amenity areas etc are located on the first storey with accommodation facilities on the upper storeys that include two-person cabins with en-suite. Total capacity is approx 370 including staff
The ‘Coastel’ is currently under construction in China where it is being monitored by RBC to a level that meets UK building standards and regulations’
