RBC appoints surveyor to key southern region

REGIONAL Building Control (RBC) has appointed Neil Dowding to the position of Building Control Surveyor for its central Newbury office.
RBC is one of the UK’s leading Building Regulations Approved Inspectors with 500 years of collective experience within the industry. Neil’s appointment adds another 38 years of expertise to this well established company.
Neil, from Calne in Wiltshire, says: “I’m delighted to join the RBC team and I’m settling in well.
"I took the position because RBC is involved in a wide variety of projects within a wealth of different industry sectors. No two days are the same and my expertise is put to good use."

Neil is responsible for the management of a wide range of national projects including commercial, residential, education and defense, at both the plan assessment and site inspection stages.
Having started as a Trainee Building Control Officer with North Wiltshire District Council in 1974, Neil has since gained an enviable amount of construction knowledge within the public sector with Newbury District Council, Swindon Borough Council and Kennet District Council before moving to the private sector in 2002 to become a Senior Project Manager.
RBC is approved by HM Government to carry out the full functions of Building Control as a Corporate Approved Inspector and has worked on projects totalling over £7 billion.
